R_IMG_2555Eric Kolesar – Owner/Head Coach
Eric has been training martial arts for nearly 3 decades and coaching for over 20 years. Having started wrestling at 8 years old and then experiencing traditional martial arts, he later found the competitive side, in Muay Thai. Having competed across the USA in Muay Thai and Kickboxing, he was still searching for more. It was at that time that he found Crazy Monkey Defense and it was after being introduced to Crazy Monkey and CMD Founder Rodney King in 2005, that he rediscovered the reason he started training martial arts in the first place, to take the lessons learned on the mat and use them to become a champion in life. Since that time he has made it his mission to change the way that martial arts is viewed, coached and experienced. Eric is a veteran of 20+ years of service in the US Army, having served as an infantryman for over 12 years and as a Relief Commander at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. rhonda1 Rhonda Black – Asst. Kettlebell/Yoga Instructor Rhonda fell in love with yoga after taking her first class. She immersed herself in Yin Yoga taking as many classes as possible and soaking up all the knowledge she could. In March 2014, she completed the intensive 70-hour training and mentorship with esteemed Master Yin Yoga Teacher Saiko Shima. She enjoys how Yin Yoga integrates the body, mind and soul. By practicing stillness in a pose, yoga teaches our minds how to be still. This carries over into our lives away from the mat. Rhonda finds great enjoyment in helping others to experience the powerful healing energy of Yin Yoga.  Rhonda was then introduced to kettlebells by Coach Saiko and found her passion.  She has been a dedicated kettlebell athlete, competing in events across the Pacific Northwest.  She has gained a great deal of knowledge and experience that she is ready to share with the Crazy Monkey USA kettlebell community.

Her achievements include:

  • IKFF Certified Kettlebell Teacher Level 1 (2015)
  • IKFF Certified Kettlebell Teacher Level 2 (2016)
